709 Water Street - circa 1870s
Designed and built by architect Alfred Giles, this lovely rock building once housed the "Favorite Saloon." Building was restored in 1996.
Davis Building - 1924
Opened in 1924 as Rawson's Drug Store. Renovated in 1995 exposing the original pressed tin ceiling.
Pampell's - circa 1895
Original building was the St. Gregory Hotel. It was purchased by JL Pampell in1899 as the third and permanent
home for his drug store, ice cream parlor, candy store, and opera house.
Guthrie Building - 1888
Robert Guthrie published the Kerrville Eye newspaper here. The paper sold and became the Kerrville Mountain Sun. From 1900 - 1921 this was the Guthrie Hotel. Restored in 1981.
Schreiner Store - est. 1869
The present structure includes parts of the original frame building. A continuous general merchandise store since 1869.
Masonic Building - 1890
Designed by architect Alfred Giles. Home of the Kerrville Masonic Lodge #697 until 1927. Downstairs tenants included the post office and CC Butt Grocery store (HEB). Restored in 1984-85. Special craftsmen and rare woods were found to complete the restoration.
Old Post Office - 1935
The art deco building at the corner of Main and Earl Garrett was home to the post office from 1935 until 1999. After the post office moved, the building became the home of the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center.
Arcadia Theatre - 1926
Opened for live performances and silent movies. Bluegrass legend Jimmie Rodgers performed here. The theatre was recently gifted to the City of Kerrville.
Old City Hall - 1937
The first City Hall was enlarged in 1947, adding a second floor to provide a dormitory for firemen. In 1985, it became the City Police Department and Municipal Court. In 1998 it was bought and remodeled to be the home of Union State Bank.
